EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES is a program serving infants and toddlers (birth through 3 years) who have a delay in one or more of the following areas: cognitive, physical (including fine, motor, gross motor, vision and hearing), communication, social/emotional, or adaptive development, or who have atypical development or a diagnosed physical or mental condition that has high probability of resulting in developmental delay. Assessment, individualized service planning, habilitative services (such as developmental services, speech or physical therapy), service coordination and facilitating the development of a transition plan to preschool services are some of the services provided. Referrals can be made by contacting the Coordinator for Early Intervention (276-223-3270).
