Sharon and Danny Turman's home is located in a rural setting that is adjacent to the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway in the Laurel Fork community.It is surrounded by farm land and neighbors but also accessible to many wonderful community resources like Mabry Mill, fresh farm markets, and parkway businesses. The location is convenient to three historic locales, Mt. Airy, N.C., Hillsvlle, VA. and Stuart,VA.
The home provides for one level living.It typifies the traditional family home atmosphere with an open kitchen and dining area that allows for gatherings with loved ones.The large yard gives room to roam and be active. There is also the opportunity to be able with assistance to explore the farm and meet the family farm animals.The family also vacations yearly and enjoy the beach. They also host family events and the opportunity to shop and eat out.
Sharon and Danny have over 10 years experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. They look forward to sharing their home with an individual that seeks a blend of a welcoming home, but also community involvement and the opportuity to explore new experiences.
